Mag250 OS for PC?

Hi there is there a way i can make my HTPC into a MAG250 or similar to a TV box?

I know that Mag250 is a linux based program and i wonder if i can make one similar, you know press the middle button to view through channels. I have a .m3u with my channels in them and i want something similar like this:

I've tried it and it works pretty good!
However i have a PC that i dont use.

I was thinking something that i don't need to use the mouse or the keyboard.
I only want to use a remote control (just like an linux sat box) to go through my channels.
And i don't need windows or anything just an OS that boots up the channels. You know simple and fast.
