    Port Forward My dreambox

    Good Evening everyone.

    Ok So I have a Dreambox 500s.

I have an Account on FreeDNS

    My Router is Running openWRT

What I Want to do Is access The Streams from My dreambox on my internet from my parents Computer In another House on another Internet.

What I CAN do is Get The http VLC link from openwebif and reproduce the video from my same network using XBMC media Player by making a m3u file with the HTTP link. But I cant do it from a different Network, which is where port forwarding comes into play I guess.

I know In order to do this I have to Port forward my dreambox

I really need some help in doing this.

I just Cant Get my Head Around it.

Can Some one Take me Through the process 1 Step At A Time.

    Many Many Thanks.

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Virgin Media Super_Hub_2 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here: 192.168.0. <-- Don't Skip This Step!

In the picture above the address bar has Google in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Virgin Media Super_Hub_2 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.0.1.
Look for your password on the bottom of your router or in the paperwork that came with your router.
