    Blade 8000 Combo

This looks interesting. I can't really understand why they wouldn't include a cable tuner instead of a terrestrial.

    Blade Media

    Any thoughts?

most DVBT/T2 tuners can also cope with cable and afaik the blade 8000 can also. may need a firmware update for the different modes employed in the modulation ect. @digicon knows a bit about these so im sure he could give more info. probably see similar versions from clark tech, technomate and dr-hd in the near future as they are all made in the same factory. regards mdt

I am looking around for a receiver dual tuner like this one, like Digicon told me about this receiver in my last post, the only problem I can gather is that it is a bit too new and there isn t much support around for the moment, read that some people have problem with the epg..... anyway price is quite good I would say for a twin tuner.... but still tempted for the xpeed lX2.... decision decision, mayb better wait a bit longer..... anyone have more info please?

I'm in a similar situation. I've just got a Q5 to go alongside my Blade 7000S but I think it will only be a stop-gap.

Don't really see the sense of having 2 freeview box's in 1. Nearly every channel on freesat/freeview is on sky apart from a couple of local channels so to release a another box which is really 2 freeview/freesat in 1 is totally stupid.

Well this might be true in uk, but receivers like this one with a terrestrial tuner are hot in Italy and Germany, for sure in Italy where you can take advantage of media set premium on terrestrial and sky on satellite.
