    Moving from SKY+HD Box

Hi guys. I have made the decision to move over to a different satellite box because I can no longer put up with Sky constantly increasing their prices. Which box do you recommend me to buy? My family don't want to move because of the Sky EPG and general ease of use, so the following are my requirements and I would appreciate it if someone can recommend me a suitable box and where to get it from:

    Box must:
    - have a good EPG, as close to my Sky+ HD as possible
    - ease of use for family
    - have ability to record a channel whilst watching another
    - have good HD picture quality
    - built in wifi

Budget is ?150ish. Maybe 200 at a stretch.

I am not a beginner when it comes to tech and programming etc so don't mind a good box that is a bit of a challange to set up.

Hope you guys can help. Thanks :-)

there are dozens of similar threads on here , so did you not read them ?

    like this one http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...s-y-hd-456872/

you are not going to get a box to do as you wish for that budget, so double it

look at a vu solo 2 or gigablue quad, plus fit an internal hdd

so linux box , twin sat tuners, internal hdd

solo 2 , duo 2 , duo , tm twin , gigablue quad ar the boxes to consider , but adding wifi is usually an addon dongle and is extra too

dont forget that when its all setup , no scrambled channels will open , so thats extra and cannot be discussed here either

too many people expect a simple and cheap solution, its not available , sorry

    try goldw*fers and w*rld of s*t
