Which Box has these features?

Hi

I can't seem to find any information to my question, would be grateful if anyone can answer as I'm a little confused.

Is there a box that has the same features as Sky+ box?:

1) Record to hard drive
2) Pause, rewind Live TV
3) Schedule recording
4) Record one channel while watching another
5) Scroll through the channels list while watching the current channel (e.g. openbox doesn't have this feature, the only way to view what other channels are on is by actually going to that channel)

twin tuner boxes like VU solo 2 , duo 2 or duo , gigablue quad and tm twin do most of what you are after

1) yes
2) not sure but possibly can be set up for this if required
3) yes (crossepg gives a 7 day epg) - nb:- no series record to my knowledge, but will record using the name itself, or set a manual record
4) yes
5) yes, I can scroll through the channels and find what I want whilst the currently viewed channel is in one corner

go for a higher spec box as latest images may start having issues at some point

These old 333MHz receivers are really stuggling with upto date images, in all honestly I think we may need to drop support for them. VU+ Solo, GB Solo, GB800SE and GB800UE, all old 333MHz with low ram etc...there may come a time in the near future that we cease support for them. "

had the same issue on last 4 images thinking a reflash would fix it and did,could the samba and nfs issues have an added effect on box,need to see if i can get image and logs to post.have swapfile on usb and abm and epg,back later with more info.

" Part of the reason why we purposely removed Samba and NFS from the image for all receivers was because of the added size to the image, you also have to remember the Solo and Duo are coming up on 5 years old and at some stage you will just have to accept that they are not up to the task of running the same plugins etc as the more modern boxes. Overloading any box will result in spinners.



my original solo is getting on and freezing every 10 secs ,going to call it a sh1tebox now,new tm nano se coming soon way more grunt power.
