    Solo2 lcd display.

Hi guys, I've just acquired a genuine vu+ solo2 of a workmate and have reflashed it with the latest vix image (147).I was under the impression this box has an Lcd display but I haven't noticed it working. Is there a setting to turn it on in set up or is it run by a xml file or picon file etc? It didnt even light up when I reflashed it. Anyone any ideas before I trawl the forums? Cheers AK.

I'm tempted to have a look but not being the owner I don't want to start messing with it as its still under warranty.I just wondered if it had to be enabled or something.saying that I've seen the pictures of it and sure enough it has an LCD lit up.

the Solo2 has a VFD display which only shows Character/Symbols the Duo2 has a VFD with MiniLCD type screen which can be used as either a Mini TV screen or show Picons/weather information etc...

I know that some of the cheaper Clones of the solo2 literally just have a bright blue LED with no display at all

There are 2 types of clones either Lorinsun or Sim2/Sunray i do know that the Sim2 seem to have a lot more patched images updated including the Vix ones

Ive sorted it! loose connection on the ribbon as cactikid predicted.lucky it was just that really. It's definitely a genuine box as he bought it from W.O.S. any way thanks for all the help! p.s. I did say I reflashed it with Vix 147 in my first post, cactikid!
