    Sky+ Problem

Good day all, new to the site, but have liked the information/advise given to people.

Anyway problem is: Have recently moved from London back to Ireland, and brought my Sky+ with me. However upon moving into new house, I have tried several time to connect my sky+ box, but to no avail. I realise the card is invalid/cancelled, but it should work anyway?? shouldn't it? Satellite receiver is working fine, as I'm currently running a freesat box off that, but I like the sky+ box and would like it too work again.

the box itself is not receiving any signals, but as I said above, the freesat box works perfectly..

any ideas what to do... did sky cut me off altogether? can they? no outstanding issues with sky, bill was paid up to date..

    thanks in advance.

So you got a dish already on the wall?

Plugged in the box and nothing yeah?

Is the dish an old dish and is it Quad LNB?

Yeah previous owner had sky+, all setup as per when I had it in London... I just think sky blocked the box...

Best bet is to give them a ring.

They probably have done something to stop you using the box in another area.

If you are still a subscriber should be a straight forward fix.

Thanks cgscott, but I'm fed up with ringing sky about it. I cancelled my subscription when contract expired.... ah well not too worry...
