Not sure if anyone has had this on their sky box. For some reason since I cancelled my sky subscription some time ago I've been unable to get the Freeview channels all working at the same time. If BBC one works then Sky news won't work and then when sky news works I get no signal being received on BBC one and BBC news. I just done a search online and saw info on how to change the frequency, tried that and searched for the BBC channels but it wasn't able to fine anything. Iv'e actually got two sky boxes and they both do the same thing, but a dreambox that I also use shows all the FTA channels. Anyone had this happen, if so if there a fix ?

you need to take cards out of both boxes you will get the free channels then...Comment

Okay done that on both boxes, most of the channels are working but not BBC one or BBC news, no satellite signal. BBC one only seems to work after 4-5am and I have to leave it on there if I want to watch that channel, but after 07:00 if I switch to Sky News which will not work at the same time as BBC one for clarification, but after 07:00 sky news will then work but BBC one will have no signal message again...until 4 or 5am.

Try a forced firmware update on the Box.
1. Unplug Receiver
2. Hold down the 'Backup' Button on the top of receiver
3. Plug Receiver Back in while holdng down button
4. wait for all 4 lights to be lit then release 'Backup' Button
5. wait around 10 minutes for any firmware update

have you tried a system reset then a forced firmware update..... if this dont work then go to settings press 0 1 select go for new install with phone line unplugged it should complete your channel line up. once channel line up is complete press tv guide and check your channels.Comment

Yeah I done a system reset earlier but I haven't tried your second suggestion so will give that a go. What i just remember is if I leave it on BBC one or Sky news when there not working and then put the box into standby for 2-3 minutes, when I switch the unit back on that free view channel will work on the station it's on all except BBC news that is, but as soon as I switch channels it starts playing up again.Comment

It wont matter the procedure i described earlier does exactly the same thing its for new installs if that did not work then there is clearly something wrong elsewhere

Do you still have both LNB cables connected to both boxes?
If not, then the box might be trying to use the dish2 connection when tuning to certain channels.
As you can no longer record, now that you have cancelled your subs, it might be worth trying the "single feed mode". You only need your LNB cable connected to the dish1 connector.
Press "services" button. Press 001. Press "select". You should now see a menu giving you the option to turn single feed mode on or off.
Leave your card in the box, as it will give you a few extra channels (Sony Movies (& +1), Sony TV (& +1), Motors TV)Comment

agreed, only needs one connection and setting up as a single feed box as sly plus wont work
so if you are having trouble its latching onto the tuner with no cable connected , so 50/50 if it works or notComment
