I have to say what a complete numpty. I treat this as a hobby, just like most other folk on here. My family does not rely on my hobby to provide them with TV. And its not that often i actually use my set up to watch satellite Tv. I think this guy got what he deserved, as he was using software that has been developed for free circulation, and he decided to use that to his advantage and to make money. He is spoiling it for everyone else who enjoys messing around with satellites...and not forgetting all the good friends you make whilst doing it !!

While i agree with what you are saying about this greedy guy if you were ever nabbed viewing sky channels illegally you couldnt stand in the dock and say well its just my hobby could you ? .

I know what you mean here. I myself havent looked into c/s as frankly I havent needed to,but I might have to soon, or simply get a receiver like the predator 8700 which is just firmware and s/s not the olde worlde linux c/s though I might keep my openmedia for linux Sky UK c/s when the time comes.
