Just for information be careful as with the existing 7000s that was satellite only it used the .NDF file format where list from other people where a plenty including the blade online download, the 8000 being a combo with cable/terrestrial tuner installed i believe the satellite side is covered for blade online so no worry's there the Cable side is a different matter and there are no lists as yet, it also uses a different format Channel editor too and yet i am still awaiting to find a channel list created by anyone.

My choice would be if your looking for a combo receiver around that that price then you have the Zgemma H1 Combo runs a Single core 750mhz processor retail aroung ?78 and as its linux will give you Full EPG, Picons and ABM so autobouquets for both satellite and cable even terrestrial if needed.

If you want something a little faster the Technomate are launching the TM-Nano-SE Combo that runs a faster Dual core 750mhz processor and should retail at around or under ?130.

My impressions i have the Zgemma H1 and for the price its not bad but i recently got hold of a Nano-SE single satellite and its double the speed of the Zgemma so the combo should be excellent as well

            Ok, next question
with the bm8000 on sat - is there a way to get 7 day peg running
i see a channel that says 7 day epg download but not sure how and why it shows ( unless it only works on other types of box )

on the old BM7000s and the Hubtech clones such as the TM5402,CT4000,DR HD F15 etc... you use to leave it on the EPG channel say for 5 minutes and it populated the whole 28.2? east channel list for you, although this disappeared if you turned the receiver to standby mode or switch off altogether as the EPG was stored in Ram.

Not too sure how the Blade 8000 combo deals with the EPG but it should be in a similar way
