    satellite box not remembering the channels ?

    Hi i have a Finlux combo box from Harvy norman, when i do a full scan its loads all the channels ok, but after a day or two there all gone, and have to scan again, even if i make a Fav list its missing after a day or two, any advice on how to fix this problem, thanks again ranger.

    could be possibly the LNB shorting try changing LNB

      I have a different box that works fine of the same Lnb and dish thanks Bj1 ,

        Hi.. A faulty LNB does not make channels disappear like that, its probably a corrupt firmware/software. if possible try and instal a new firmware.

          Thanks for that answer nutsandbolts, were could i find the software for that update, can i do it from the astra19.2 ? or a website.. or would a factory reset work ? thanks again ranger.

            if your box cant remember channels its probably the memory regards jovie

              Hi A friend of mine had similar problem with a Starsat receiver last year. I changed his firmware and no problems since. A factory reset will not help as it will only restore default channel settings back etc. Not familiar with your box but you could try and google it and see if it gives you websites for firmwares etc. Also check your box if it has auto update via the network like some receivers have. If you still have problems let me know and i will ask some sat guys here in London.
