I was just gonna report what Ive been trying and failing to do but I`ll nip back out and try that.

Im beggining to think Ive either done something very simple wrong.
The dish is in the back garden about 10 foot of the floor so its v easy to play with.
I drove the motor to 1w..went outside and with a compass lined it to south(on compass) .Rigged the sat finder meter up.dish and motor slightly loose so I can move it..(like that old vid on utube) absolutely nothing.
I go back out now and try for 28.2 E

Im getting somewhere,the sat meter is finding a signal when I move the dish elevation...can see the signal moving up and down as I tilt the dish... tightend the dish when the signal was peeking at 10 and screaming,come back in and still same signal qualit showing on the reciever(20%) 1st time Ive been excited for 5 years
All to no avail.

I`ll go back and lessen the sensitivity(just googled that)

also pal check your connection to the lnb is fitted right if you havent taped it up , the cable mite ov come lose ie not sticking into the lnb,
also do has jackpot says and find a signal without the motor on first then ,once you have a good signal put the motor back on and it should be easy from there on, also using a small tv in the garden helps

Hi m8..you want to try aligning your dish first without the motor on thor,elevation about 30 degrees,,using your tm5400 connected to telly in garden,,the tuner on this is
amazing..once youve found it mark the position with a marker pen,and take the dish off but leave the elevation still set...now put motor on using the marker u made earlier,
and set elevation to exactly as it is on the dish,or just set to plum using a spirit level....now mount dish on motor pole
50mm from the bottom of the pole..and hey presto it will now track the ark perfectly...

Ty terriers,I would mate but the weather is terrible the other side of the pennines.Id have the tv out there asap but cant,Ive stuck it on the window ledge,going back out to have a go.

Guys...this is whats happend.
I sent the motor to 28.2 east...started to get a strong signal on the meter,lessend the meter density,got it strong,till infact it was screaming,Im now all excited,go back to the reciever and the quality is on 20% ,Im thinking jesus mamma...how can this be...so I filck throught the sattelites at the top of the screen and I see one with near full blue and yellow bars,hotbird at 13east ?
now Im real messed up but at least I am getting somewhere...still not seen a picture but Im getting somewhere,any advice gents ?

hi mate been here know how you feel move dish to 1 west watch meter get signal turnn down meter till best signal is seen go inside/outside look at tv and on the transponders bit move through the list watching the yellow and blue bars they will be red when no signal is being recieved as you move through transponders they WILL change colour to yell/blue and you will have the picture

remember the satellite positions are all in the motor its just a case of pointing it in the right place then everything will fall into place and you will wonder why you got so stressed once you have cracked it get your mates around and show them your free 5,000 channels you have
