brilliant thats what this hobbies all about
hours of swearing watching program you would not think of watching in a million years.

point dish at 1 west and put the number transponder to
11.325H 24.492 this is bbc world news and is the best channel to pickup ie strongest then its just a matter of fine tunning remember all the satellites are in an arc in the sky so if you get 1 west/thor which is in the middle when you go to 45 west and then 45 east you can only be high or low with the dish because the motor knows where they are all pre proggramed in remember you have to scan each satellite in to get the channels

So sam..I drive the motor to 1w.. then get compass and align dish at just off south...get the meter and try for signal....once (hopefully) I get thor,the others should fall in.
I didnt know I had to scan the satellites in,I did it with hotbird and I got them.
I`ll keep you posted tomorrow.

when you get thor/1 west tomorrow you have to do a scan to get the channels then save that means when you go back to that sat you will have the channels already saved you have got a cracking weekend ahead of you scanning and saving channels so you wont see any telly been there dunit got the tshirt then you can move into soft cams now thats another can of worms but its great when you have cracked it just for that smug look on ya face when youve got the remote inyour hand and watching the dish move to position for that proggrame your getting nowt and all the other mugs are paying for sly

But Im not going to let that put me off ,the sat meter screams but I dont pick anything,I suss it,I hope
