zgemma star 2s no ts media

I have a zgemma star s2 installed and it is up and running fine for the tv side of things, but I have no access to the ts media page as there is no link from the menu screen, I have seen this done on youtube when I was looking into getting this box so was just wondering if anyone could help me out on this.
Looking into the box itself it says it as the openpli 4 image if this is of any help.
I am an absolute beginner with all this so be gentle and explain in simple terms please.

In any image you may find that they only include approved plugins, so there will be many more plugins that are third party and not approved, so I assume the video you saw was for a different image and not openpli 4

as you have the openpli image I would think that may have the least amount of plugins "on tap"
never assume a plugin is available from the menus, but always check, if it is then its approved for use

so you have to find and download the plugins yourself, which may or may not be zipped or rar`d up too
if they are packed as above, unpack them into their correct format, which will tend to be ipk or tar.gz packages

ftp the plugin to var/tmp on the box using any ftp program of your choice

then look in the menus for an ipk or tar.gx installer, use it and it will "see" the plugin, click on it and install it

if all goes well you are normally prompted for a reboot, but bear in mind you run the risk of causing a GSOD or other issues

    so in simple terms

find the latest version of the plugin on the net and download it
check its in ipk or tar.gz format, if not, unpack it
ftp it to var/tmp on the box
use the onboard menus to install the package
    reboot the box
    test the plugin

there should also be an uninstall option in those menus, to remove the unwanted or badly behaving plugins

I also suggest you check the dreambox and vu forums here and elsewhere, as its the same for all these linux based boxes
