Lidl deal on Sat dish and receiver

Alright guys what do ye think of this offer from lidl?
    Lidl Online
What the best setting to receive channels using a dm600s with that 80cm dish or would i need a 90 cm.I'd like to get thor and see whats available but will the 80cm dish be sufficient.
Also will the lnb be ok.
Im into cablebut trying to get into the sat scene and would appreciate any info regarding extra hardware I'll need to get set up.Lnb's etc.
I's a fixed dish but would multiple lnbs give me the same result as a motorised dish if i need to change sat sattings.
Or could ye recommend a complete new setup for a newb...receiver ,dish etc.
    Appreciate it,
    Freck

a fixed dish and multiple lnb's wont give you as many sats or chns than a motorised dish. plus with a motorised dish you only need one universal lnb and a diseqc motor, that should'nt cost anymore than a few lnb's if you shop around for the best price's. as for that box from lidl it's free to air only but these silvercreast boxes use to have patches for them to open the chns take a look here for info on the patches if they are still smokiebum.c*m
my advise would be to forget this box and go for a receiver that has card and cam slots etc: or go for a linux box if you are prepared to learn how to program one and get the best from it,

Right scrap the lidl receiver,I've just bought a DM500s.I've used these for a few years but on cable/terrestrial.Could you send me a link for a reliable motorised dish,90cm or 1m and a universal lnb. I can use the DK1.1 image and get the rest of the info from the stickys.
        Cheers

Net gadgets are good too plus Wizard sat or Pulsat.

Irish sat dealers will rip you off.
