If i were a betting man,, id bet if any nagra3 fix comes it will be a european based one rather than americans,, history tells us the americans are far slower than our european counterparts at nasty little things like this..
        boom!

            Its all about ????!
If some HUGE company was loosing "hundreds of thosends" of pounds, you would see a fix appear quicker when they dig into pockets for the real hackers to do a job, ( by this i mean in laboratorys with huge expensive equipment and not somebody playing with a unlooper in there home! )
            boom!

Very true about the History of Hacking Satellite and Cable Encryption ! It normaly come from European Hackers Americians have a very poor record in opening anything there than there post in the morning !

                Code:

Real hackers have not opened anything in years since N3 was given to us on a plate, there is now more encryption's been used that have not been hacked than ever before, the Game is up they just can't hack anything anymore.

Regarding the post above ! I am in agreement to a degree but you miss the point that Set TOP Box Manufactures are the ones losing out at the moment, Its a mulitmillion pound a year industry, in some cases bigger than the Encryption Companys an even some providers !

These Maufactures live on the fact that there receivers sell because they open certain channels with different providers useing second party firmware, Now that there is very little open these company are making next to nothing ! If there is ever a commericial hack of any kind it will originate for a Set Top Box manufactuer who will invest in Hacking to open something maybe not N3 though.

Anyway Don't expect N3 to be open untill nearer the end of its life expediance around 2-3 years from now.

                Regards:

I think you mean N2 was handed to us on a plate! We americans at least know what encryption method is in place!

,, yup n2 was handed to on a plate originally not n3,, dont get me wrong would be nice to see big rupert hand n3 to us on a plate too but aint gona happen is it.

You go on to make a point i said originally,, i mean set top box makers when i say huge companies with deep pockets who loose millions of pounds!
If some HUGE company was loosing "hundreds of thosends" of pounds
^^ this I mean huge set top box manufacturers.
And If the case about real hackers doing a job,, why is irderto and conax never appeared on emulation?
                    boom!

yes but remember this from last year

Kudelski Claims Piracy Victory in Europe
Kudelski, which through its NagraStar relationship with DISH Network provides signal security for the DBS service, said it scored a big victory in its fight against pay-TV piracy in Europe.

A German court has prohibited one of the main "free-to-air" TV decoder importers working in the country from importing, possessing or marketing TV decoders that have decoding capabilities. The decoders contain an electronic mechanism that makes its possible to circumvent conditional access systems and allow for the illegal reception of pay-TV programming, Kudelski said.

Although the banned "free-to-air" decoders also allow for reception of free (unencrypted) programming, the court found that the devices are illegal because they contain the electronic mechanism, the company said. The company, Heinrich Zehnder GmbH, risks a fine of up to 250,000 euros ($348,424 U.S.) or a prison sentence for executives if it does not comply with the verdict.

"This verdict is a clear message for manufacturers and importers of ?de facto' pirate decoders. From now on, they will have to ensure that such decoders are not equipped with technical elements that - by themselves or through the downloading of pirate software - allow circumvention of content protection systems and the illegal reception of encrypted content," Kudelski said in a statement.
so if something does happen on n3 kudelski will be all over manufacturers
                      and distributors of boxes
like flies over sh1t so in the long run the global recession is about to
hit the makers of the so called "fta" boxes
