    Azbox - help needed

Hope someone can help me. Looking to buy an Azbox Premium but need advice. I want to chase feeds and know it does 4.2.2 feeds but what about the other feeds on Satelliweb - ie MPEG-2 crypt? and the MPEG-4 HD feeds? Can I view them or not? Will I be able to use my G@ mma card still? Is it easy to run and work with and how often do you have to update the software?

    Thanks in advance.

you wont be able to view mpeg2 encrypted feeds as these are as it says encrypted with only the uplink operator and tv provider knowing the key to access it.

feeds you will be able to see

    mpeg2 4:2:0
    mpeg2 4:2:2
    mpeg4 4:2:0
    mpeg4 4:2:2

i dont have one of these azbox but if it is similar to dreambox then you will be able to use cards in it if there is a version of Cccam, newcamd+cs, mgcamd etc for azbox, this is the card emulator software.

you can update the software how often as you like.

they aren't that easy to use for begineers unless your competent with the use of computers etc

Thanks - it's your last comment that has been putting me off! I don't exactly know what competancy is needed. Suppose the best option is to read the manual and see how to set up and run then I can judge if it's easy or not!

The manual will be useless as it won't tell you how to set up things like cccam which is what you will want.

Azbox doesn't have the support (yet)the dream boxes do, I know a few people with azbox and they have all had problems (which they have resolved) if your looking a HD linux box, I would go for the dm800hd, better support being the main consideration.
