Ensure you unzip the downloaded file, then place the 'zgemma' folder on to your USB stick drive, place USB stick drive into rear USB port then switch on. If you don't get the 'USB' on front panel then try again with a different USB stick, as the Zgemma can be fussy with some makes of USB sticks.

Thanks for taking the time doing the image, but I have a motor setup, and sometimes when I'm on different satellites for example 23e or 1w the picture goes off, I look at my cam settings on my zgemma and it says no soft cam selected it does this quite often, I change it back to C***** 2.3.0 its ok for a bit but then it goes off again, I got to keep putting the cam back, is there any fix? Seems ok on 28.2 and 19e but not the others.Last edited by digicon; 30 June, 2016, 19:08.Comment

@MW35 I only use a static setup pointing @28.2e so haven't experienced this issue, perhaps try a difference version instead of 2.3.0 or try a backup image that uses openvix instead of openatv, however, as were talking about cams I don't think the mods would be very happy discussing it further, so think it's best left there.Comment

Change the Python script starter to init.d in the softcam section should sort it.Thanks for taking the time doing the image, but I have a motor setup, and sometimes when I'm on different satellites for example 23e or 1w the picture goes off, I look at my cam settings on my zgemma and it says no soft cam selected it does this quite often, I change it back to 2.3.0 its ok for a bit but then it goes off again, I got to keep putting the cam back, is there any fix? There's 2 ways to do this;
Method 1
On the remote press 'Fav' then find the channel you want to move and press 'menu' and 'enable move mode' then press 'ok' on the channel you want to move and use the up/down arrows to move the channel to it's new place then press 'ok' again.
Method 2 requires a PC
Open the Openwebif portal on your web browser, on the lower left side click on 'Bouqueteditor' then on the right just drag either the bouquets or channels to there new place.Comment

Hi Martin035
Finally got around to havng a go at putting your 5.3 image on my zgemma!
I put over the 5.3 image but was in 2 minds whether to update to see if everythng was stable after...................YES it worked and booted up fine and and the ABM seemed good!!!
What i wanted to ask was how do we go about updating the picons on the image that is flashed onto box?? Also how do i put the colour type picons on instead of the trans ones as you cant really see the original ones on now?Comment

The picons in the Dropbox download ain't the newest, the colourful picons don't get updated regularly,
1. Download the picon.zip and unzip the folder
2. Weed through the picon folder and remove all 'none working' HD picons, Incorrect referenced picons ie Animalplnt as the correct one is Animalplanet etc, Vmedia picons and picons for any bouquets you don't use ie if you dont use the 'Adult channels' remove all the 'named adult picons'. This will reduce the size of the picon folder, otherwise it will fill up your zgemma's internal flash with unwanted picons.Code:https://www.dropbox.com/s/5qnyczheq6igoyb/picon.zip?dl=0
3. FTP to zgemma's picon folder location /usr/share/enigma2/picon and delete all the files in that folder
4. FTP over the picons in your already weed out picon folder to picon folder on the zgemma /usr/share/enigma2/picon
5. rebootComment
