humax 5400

Hi need some info on how the 5400 works
do I just patch the receiver and run a emulation prog through a permanent link to my pc via 232 cable,or do I need a cam and funcard?
have not bought 1 yet but they going very cheap on *bay.de

i had one,nice box much like the 5400,but with a usb recordable option,yes you can patch it or use a cam,but lately dont know whats available(depends on which cam,choose carefully) 1 west is open on the digtv package,but if you search on here you will probably find more info
