    zgemma H1 HDD problems

I'm having major issues trying to get my hard drive to work. its a 128gb 2.5 HDD. I've got openatv 5.1 on there and have followed martin035 guide but cannot get the Hard drive to work. I have followed the steps to initialise, ext3- ext4, and swap managerwith no errors. When I reboot and try to record I get a message that storage device is full. The hard drive is completely empty.
    does anybody have any ideas?
It's my first day with it and i'm pretty impressed but would love to get this issue resolved.

    Regards.

Format it in a pc to ext4 using a third party tool easus partition wizard works well but there are others like swiss knife just make sure you are formatting the correct drive. Then try it

I managed to format it to ext4 but still not working. I'm formatting it and it shows almost the full drive as available but when I plug it into the zgemma and try record i get an error. when i plug it back into my computer it is showing the hdd as full

I put a different image on and tried the hard drive and it was fine but with this image I can't get something we arent allowed to talk about to work. maybe the openatv didn't flash properly so i may try flash it again tomorrow.

Where did you get the drive ??? It is sounding like the drive is faulty or a false capacity. You see a lot of usb being sold with false capacity on the bay. Try a known genuine usb stick and see how you go. If that works take the drive back.

The drive is fine, I've had it a couple of years. I put a vix image on the box and all is working now.
