    EPG not working

    Hi all

Ive just bought a zgemma H2S. For some reason the channel list has gone wappy...When I bought the box the channels were all in order and numbered and matched the programmes...much like $ky... but now they're all mixed up ...not only that ...the programme guide is not working as it did....Is there any way I can reconfigure the EPG and channel list? Is there any way the EPG can be removed and start from scratch so that the settings are how they used to be?

Did you flash an image on yourself or did the box come already setup by the seller? Also what image is on the box Openatv or Openvix?
Also do you know what epg plugin you're using IE Crossepg or xmltv importer?
Also what channel bouquets plugin are you using IE autobouquetmaker or autobouquets e2?

      Hi Martin

The image on the box is Openvix....it used to be $ky when it rebooted but changed for some reason. The box came fully loaded I havent flashed it but was thinking of reflashing it. I'm sure the plug in is Crosspeg...as for autobouquetmaker or autobouquets e2 I dont know ....

Is there any way you could guide me through what I need to do?

      tim

        We can do better than that on the DK forum have a read of this thread;
Hi Guys hi take no credit what so ever for as i is not my backup, I have created an image of my H2.S with a very Sky oriented theme! If you want it download it from: It is fully configured to Sky, including Auto Bouqet, EPG set to read from HDD (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&f

But before you do that you need to backup some important files off your Zgemma. Download a program called Filezilla and install on your PC then on your Zgemma find your Zgemma's IP address (look thru the menu's for box information) it will be something like 192.168.1.101
In filezilla enter that address into Host and the username root then press quickconnect you should now connect to your zgemma, in the left lower box (your PC) click on 'Desktop' and on the right lower box go to the file location usr/keys and drag across any .list file to your desktop or /etc and drag across any .cfg to your desktop. Once you've install your new image follow the instruction in fudge1's thread then copy those files back to your zgemma.

Due to the forum rules that's all the help I can give on those important files

Tim, look at the amendments johnner has done to your post, this will explain what's not allowed, but talking about YouTube and filezilla is ok, follow the YouTube video to do your backing up then follow fudge1 guide to install his backup image.

              Hi martin

I followed your instructions...(btw sorry about words I shouldnt have said)...and backed up my zgemma files ....there is a folder in my desktop with all the components in it. When I click on the file it shows the components that make up the file separately ...should it be like this?....I noticed that while the file was downloading there were a couple of error messages in red writing...is that normal.,,,Anyway its copied about 12,500 files and I suppose theyre all in the file thats now on my desktop.

Martin ...I'm sorry if I'm being such a pain...but this is all very new to me ...and I really do appreciate your help.

Could you tell me what this means please?.....so first unrar the file and use ur fat32 formatted standard usb to put the "zgemma" folder on...

I understand that the usb has to be formatted to FAT32....but what does unrar mean?...does it simply mean get the file that fudge has downloaded and put it onto the formatted usb?

Tim, not wanting to offend but from what you posted above I think you might struggle with any guide I give you, however, I've sent you a PM with a proposal give it some consideration and let me know.
