satellite box not working help!!!!

hi i have a vu-solo box here and was working perfect until lastnight it poped up on the screen system update so i hit yes do update so it updated etc etc then restarted but didnt boot just stayed as a black screen but the box says its on tried disconnecting everything and connecting it back up but still when i turn box on (led turns green) the screen just stays black. help very much appreciated

Needs a fresh install
you don't say what image your on ...If its blackhole its always does this when you update it from the menu

Or do you have a backup ?

sorry not used to all this as i bought the box setup and all but person i bought it off has disappeared and to install a flash is it handy done (would i be able to do it myself) or have to find someone to do it? thanks for help

Its easy to install the image....to add the rest you need to get the box running so you receive the TV picture
depends on if you know how to FTP & where to put things on the box & how to setup the menu ?

If you know how to add a channel list....the magic part that give you the picture
How to login...to the box....using an FTP program....


I hope you have the details that where on the box that you need...(Limited what we can say about this part because of the forum rules)

If you don't your up the creek without a paddle


Maybe someone on here can help got the box back as it was......When its happened to me I have always done a fresh install

sounds very complicated think ill look for someone to do that business for me as i wouldnt know were to start but thanks for help very much appreciated
