    double signals

    hi all
    ive fitted a dish today and when i found 28.2 i also had a full lock signal on 19.2 with nothing in between ,also when on hotbird 13e i got full signal on eutelsat 36e ,ive never had this happen before ,i was just wondering how it is possible to get double signals , by the way it didnt affect the install

    You can only view what satellite your dish is pointing at unless you have a multi lnb setup.

    Think of like a gun pointing at a person, you will shoot that person but not the person 9 degrees to the right of him because you won't be pointing at him.

      What it is gibbo is that when you have your meter switched on and you go through the sat positions...if say 11862v is on 28.2e and also on 42e it will show a signal for both positions...i,v had this on occasions...but you are only really getting the signal from the sat position you know you are on..

        if you are sure you are on 28.2 just scan you will get all channels
        it will show up on satfind on other sats its just the same transponder frequency mate are you going motorised if so look at stickys for strongest transponder guide

          has i said in my post its not problem , i just wanted to know why i was getting other satellites when i was pointing at another ,
          and yes it was a motoriesed set up so i just set usals on thor and let that the reciver do the rest without a problem
