    Zgemma ....any good?

Are those Zgemma boxes any good?

I was looking at the H2H as it has a Sat an Cable tuner which would suit me just fine.

I'm well bored of my DM800 SE, time for a wee change methinks.

I've never used a DM800 SE so will let others compare it to a Zgemma. However, I do own a Zgemma H.2s (started with an openbox) which is the Dual tuner Satellite version of the H.2h, works a treat and does what it's meant to at a fraction of the cost of more mainstream receivers, if you're on a budget then it a great value box.

Plenty of guides, backup images and members on here, who either own one or use the older h1 or h2 versions that will assist with setting the box up.

They seem to be amazing value for money, the H2H is a trple tuner machine, well 1 Sat and 1 Cable/Terrestial Hybrid tuner, 2 tuners but capable of receiving 3 standards of DVB.

For around ?79 delivered that's amazing value.

I'll still hang onto my Dreambox though - just incase.......

Don't forget you need to buy 'something' else especially made for cable viewers, forum rules and all things like that

Most people buy their Zgemmas from the bay just don't buy that 'something' else from the same seller, normally always ends up in tears.

              Hi Martin,
My H2S box starts with a blank screen, and I have to go to 'Last Scanned' and press several keys before I can get to 'Favorites', then everything is fine. But its such a pain mate, how do I turn the box on and view a Channel?
              Many thanks

Press 'Fav' and go to your 'Favourites' highlight the channel you want to use on startup and press 'Menu' then select 'set as startup service' then 'only on startup'

My box should be here within the next hour.

I've been reading up a little and I'm pretty sure I'll be 100% at home with the new box.

I've been using Linux boxes since waay back, my first box was a DBOX2.

                    1 wee question....

I've got ***** working fine for sat but ***** for cable isn't clearing, it was clearing earlier on the default OpenATV image but I swapped over to a ViX image and now it's not working.

Should both the *******.list be in /usr/keys/ ?

                    EDIT..

                    Durrr...I'm a dick.

***** should have been in /etc
