The best box depends on your requirements; so from your OP
    1. Watch one, record another - you'll need a dual tuner box
    2. series link - well all engima2 box will do that
    3. you mention internet, it doesn't matter, however if you're in a VM cable area give consideration to a combo box ie a box with a cable and sat tuner.
    4. How you intend connecting it to the internet ie wireless or LAN cable
    5. Your Budget!!!

So let us know your answers to 3,4 & 5 and I'm sure you'll get plenty of answers of the good folk on DK

Thank you for your reply Martin.
I am in both dsl and VM I was thinking only because it's possibly better to hardwire to router and cost what would 1 consider a fair price with or without the package installed. I have a few weeks b4 my sly goes dead, man I can't believe the price Murdoch is charging the robbing b&5?ard

As you call them virmin hahaha more expensive than the other set of ***** can't believe what they quoted me yesterday when I gave them a bell 70+ then out of good will was going to knock off 30% makes my blood boil considering when they first launched most people will remember this or those older when they installed in more or less every house for free and they gave you it for some months for nothing then I think it was only ?10 or ?15 so you only got 2 movie channels and all sports ohh and not to forget the 10 mins of free erotic channels all analogue.

If you're in a VM area and have a satellite dish and your planning to hard wire your box into the router, then I would defiantly be looking at a combo box might as well enjoy the HD channels you can't get on satellite.

Zgemma H.2h - Budget Engima2 box will do all things you require.
Edision OS mini - Same Specs as the zgemma but better build quality and built in wifi if needed.
Gigablue HD Ultra UE - Better Specs and build quality than the zgemma and has the ability to add an internal hard drive.

All enigma2 Linux boxes (3 boxes I've listed are) have the ability to series link, not as straight forward as an original sky boxes ie it's not a matter of selecting 'series link' the user has to select a few other settings to get it to work

Aye, that's the going rate for a zgemma h2h on the bay.

Plenty of guides on here, tk and youtube on how to install the software/firmware, but basically you need a USB stick drive and a PC. Installing is easy, normally it's getting the settings right especially for cable that can be troublesome, but again plenty of cable users on here to help.

It means one of two things, either it means that you have to ensure that your VM cable feed is still active or it's another term used to describe the system used to unscramble the channels, which unfortunately due to the forum rules we can't discuss.

If you need those cables I'm sure you can acquire them off ebay.
