First ensure that you're in a vm cable tv area, by doing a post code check on the vm website, as vim broadband isn't enough to get HD channels.

If you're looking for a box better than a zgemma then perhaps look at the edision os mini, ensure you get the one with a sat and cable tuner.

Yes I am sure cable TV is available as I am a former customer a long time ago in the starview days.

I have checked the edison box and would like to ask which software do i need flashed on it to get the best of both and get the HD channels without duplicate channels

      Thanks!

You can use a multitude of 'Open' source linux software, however, the most popular is openatv or openvix.

            Openatv
            Code:
            [URL]http://images.mynonpublic.com/openatv/nightly/index.php?open=osmini[/URL]
            Opnevix
            Code:
            [URL]http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/edision-images/edision-os-mini/edision-os-mini-openvix-4-1-archives/[/URL]
Don't ask which one is the best, some prefer one to the other, it's down to the individual.
