2 Sky Boxes?

Would it be possible for the mother to have her sky box downstairs still and for me to have one in my bedroom?

I dont know much about sat's so i have no idea ?

And i want to watch different channels from what my mothers watching downstairs, how do i go about this?

you can have sky multiroom for an extra tenner a month just ring sky for that they install it for you.

All depends on what lnb you have on the dish. If you have a quad lnb then you can both have a sky+ (or Sky + hd) box - dependant on someone routing the cables for you. If your mother has a sky subscription then you can ask sky for multiroom at an extra ?10 per month - this will mirror her subscription.
