    are these boxes any good

ive been using a openbox v8s for a while now, before that a skybox f5 and after reading a post it seems i may have made a bad choice in the chose of box. i dont want to spend a great deal as money tight. are these any good and easy to set up, a ZGEMMA STAR 2S SATELLITE RECEIVER TWIN DVB-S2 TUNER ENIGMA or Amiko mini HD. the zgemma if im readiing right auto updates channels and can have the sly skin. ive not read much about amiko mini. or is there any other cheapish boxes i should be looking at.

    thanks

I'm in same boat as you, I have a v8s. And going for a zgemma come payday. You want to get the zgemma h.2s that's the latest version out. You get twin tuner, auto channel updates etc...

There's a guy on here who sells them all set up plug n play on eBay. Think his username on here is Chepts or something and on eBay his username is bankrupt_acc.

His zgemma h.2s is ?84.99 and comes with all 3 openatv skins (slyhd/sly Q/vermin) in which you choose which one on first start up. Also has proper kodi, and tsmedia plus others. Everything that can be loaded is on there ready, all plug n play. Just need to put your magic in.

Thats great but what happens when something goes wrong ?........& you don't know where to start to get the box backup & running

these boxes are not plug & play

Well obviously from what I've read, you have to make a backup of your image etc, on a USB stick which your epg is also stored on

A wise word if the box arrives with Openvix on it.........Don't update it online......or you will have one of these..

I don't think it's openvix, I'm sure it's openatv, but either way, yes do not update it over network. Get them from here and upload them yourself.

But apart from backing up and doing the magic. There virtually plug and play.

i would be thinking a better enigm2 twin sat tuner box like edison os mini for ?99 which can run openvix and wont have a second tuner problem,if you still want a zgemma do more research.
