duolabs new cam ?

i got this from a reliable source, and it looks like
anouther new cam from duolabs if this info is a fact
but it's up to you what you make of this info

After almost 4 years and half Diablo CAM hardware revision 2.** is goes on holiday.
It will be still supported for normal stuff which is public.
After many rumors now the new Diablo Cam 2 is announced and it will be available
by the mid of November just on the best Sat Shops on the net.

New Features:

Hardware:

* ARM7TDMI @ 50Mhz.
* FPGA @ 100Mhz processing speed.
* RAM: Internal 16KB and External 1MB.
* ROM: 256KB Internal Flash and 4MB Dataflash.
* J-tag connection.2 Smartcard Readers ISO and Plug-In.
* 2 Unique serial Numbers internally lasered inside.
* Supports 3,3 and 5,0 Volts Smartcards

Software:

* PICO-OS Operating System.
* Dataflash internal Filesystem FAT 12.
* Fully programmable by PCMCIA secure protocol.

The big differences with the Diablo CAM is that almost all is doubled:

1 MB of RAM instead of 512 K
4 MB of Dataflash
Most powerfull DVB Processor Xilinx 1200

All this new features are used to handle the HD channels better in the next feature.
Diablo CAM 2 can be CI+ compatible but not in this stage (Duolabs is not giving and date on that).

End User price will be available when the CAM will be introduced.

As wrote Diablo version 2.3 will be still supported for normal stuff which is public.
Updates from 2.2 to 2.3 not to Diablo2 because hardware is not compatible

I can remember reading that there was a promise of something big coming ( not N3 crack ) Is this it ?? If the Diablo 2.3 is more or less useless nowadays....what is the point in releasing a new one if it cannot open more channels ?? Surely if there is a new CAM coming out, it has to be geared up to open something ?

plus it would have to open a thew packages to warrant anyone buying it!!.....today we have ip boxes that open 15/16 packages,and are pretty much plug in and play,without the need for updates every couple of days....

if it was to offer something new then why not but if its going to be more of the same as diablo cam is now then not worth while buying it.

something is brewing as its too quiet at the moment.

Been reading abit on this new cam.Its said that 2.3 could not do the HD channels,then why could some people watch HD channels on cnx @ 1 west?.I think this is looking like a scam ATM.

reports on another forum that viaccess 3 is fully hacked so maybe that will be one of the hacks for the d2 cam ?

hd channels worked on my humax with d cam but got funny green lines on screen, was more compatibility with receiver than cam being able to do the hd channels

Here's some information so you all know what's what.

The Diablo Cam 2 is real.
Diablo Cam 2 will have exclusive hacks [to be announced]
Diablo 2.3 cams will do public hacks only [not the exclusive hacks]
Diablo Cam 2 uses different processor and bigger ROM & RAM chips
so upgrading old Diablo cams to Diablo Cam 2 won't be an option.
There will be no trade in options as the old cams can't be upgraded
so my advice would be to sell your old cams on the bay and put the
money towards the new one.

They are currently fetching about ?30 on ebay...I have just sold mine for ?27.50 plus postage.....I am sure there will be many on ebay before long..

It will be a long time before i get another Diablo....I have other methods in action at the moment
