Right after shed loads of reading I have decided to take the plunge into satellite.
The amount of receivers on the sat scene is astonishing and its probably taking me longer to make mind up as to what test box i should get more than anything else. Before I press the buttons to purchase I would welcome all you experts out there for a general steer on my equipment.
1. Motor - Technomate 2600;
2. Dish - Triax 1.1 (although it seems its more like a standard 1.0m dish;
3. LNB - Quad Smart Titanium (Gold Coated) lnb 0.1db;
4. Wall mount - 18" steel heavy duty.
6. Receiver - Protek 9600ip (I know its not linux but i need to find my feet)
7. Most importantly anyone know any installers in the Edinburgh, Lothians area a pm would be greatly appreciated.
I will get a trusty dreambox 500s (do they really struggle to shift a motor or is that competitors bullsh.it?) for playing with so that I can gain a better understanding of the cccam side of things and more importantly find a reliable server if such a thing exists!
