I was flicking through the options on the computer screen interface screen for my vu+duo and meant to hit the "restart box" option button which is right next to the "deep stand by" button and I accidentally clicked on that instead of restart, yeah, that wasn't a smart move, I know.
But, I didn't think anything of it until I tried to basically somehow just start the computer screen interface screen on my computer and the page wouldnt open up, so I check the connection to the box using Dreambox control centre as I always do and no matter what I done would it connect, hmmm
.
So, after that I still didn't think it was a big deal and thought it would probably be ok by manually restarting the box from the rocker switch at the back but nope, it still wont start or connect on the computer either.
Just getting the stuck on red light nonsense AGAIN, yet that cap or caps where renewed/fitted with new higher voltage better ones just a couple of years ago, plus I hardly ever use the rocker switch to turn it on and off either, I always restart the box using the restart box option from the computer screen interface as I was told thats much safer, whether it is or not I have no idea.
Anyway, bottom line is, how come this just happened when I selected "deep standby" option accidentally ??? and is there a way to reverse this ?? I have never ever even hit the deep sleep option until now, so I don't know exactly what it does or if there is way to get it out of this state, is there ?
p.s, I have unplugged both sat dish feeds going to the box now as the box isnt serving its purpose for now, just using freesat box instead for now.......Do I need at least one feed plugged into the box or what or should the box still come on with someone showing in the LED display ??
p.p.s, or do I need to reflash the image onto it again maybe ? as I say, first time I have ran into this deep sleep option scenario, what a pain in the neck man

, yeah, you were right, flashed it again and now back to normal, well normal-ish, I still can't bloomin figure out exactly what the darn way is I set the tuners or all the frequencys etc to scan 28.2e, sounds simple I know but on these flurkn VU's it just seems like a nightmare to me man, I am not a satellite expert and don't want to be either, just want the darn thing going, LOL, know what I mean mate.
