Zgemma H1 Cable Tuner Gone after software update

    Hi guys,

Just updated my Brothers Zgemma h1 on the openatv image after the feed came back online, after the reboot went the cable channels but noticed they where greyed out. So I went into tuner configuration and the cable tuner is not even listed anymore and there is no option to add it. I thought it was an image problem so downloaded the latest openatv nightly build for the zgemma and when it comes to scanning for the tuners in the setup it doesn't bring the cable option up.

I tried the latest HD freaks image and the result was the same, I then tried the openvix image dated 2nd of October as it's the latest there on the zgemma.tv download page. went through the setup procedure and I'm able to select the cable tuner in it but not in any of the latest images from open atv or HD freaks.

All I know is the box was working on both sat and cable before the software update and after it updated cable is not there anymore.

Anyone any Idea's as to what's happened.

Also my Zgemma H.2h is working perfect on both cable and sat after software update.

    Thanks

Could be a software problem on the newer images, i assume you do realise you dont have to install the latest nightly build if you want to install an earlier working version have a search on the OpenATV downloads.

Just to put your mind at ease i had a similar problem a few months ago with my Solo4K ATV actually borked some of the drivers in the nightly Builds which caused Havoc and non booting receiver.

I informed them and they knew where some of the latest builds had problems and managed to fix it a couple of days later.

Dont forget if you use the latest builds your a beta tester with everyone else

Yep thats what it is. I posted over on the openatv forum and was told on the 11th of Dec they updated there drivers, I see there feed is offline again so gonna assume they're fixing the download stream to include the drivers for the Zgemma H1 because I was asked what tuner was on the box, told them is was a ATBM7811 (DVB-C) SWITCHABLE TUNER TYPE (DVB-T2, DVB-C).

But they also told me to install a earlier build just before the driver update so install 1 from the 9th so box up and working again and will wait to see if it's fixed when the feed comes back online.

Same problem here. No Cable tuner on the H1 image from the 13th.
They've posted a new Nightly for the 15th. Hopefully it's fixed. If you try it before I do please report back.

Just tried the latest nightly dated the 15th, still not fixed. Going back to the 9th dec build again and I'm gonna wait a bit longer this this maybe untill next week before I try again.

Thanks for letting me know. They really shouldn't be knowingly releasing faulty builds.
