Sky Q box outputs

I had a look at the new Sky Q box earlier and noticed that there was no RF2 out/Scart Out/RCA out
Which means if you want to distribute it could be costly

I currently have mine distributed along side a second Sat box and can be viewed and controlled from each TV in the house (6 TV's)

If I were to switch to Sky Q apart from the added expense of the new remote controls, what would be the best way to distribute it, HDMI Splitter, HDMI to Scart converter then RF Modulator with inferred control or is there a more slip stream way to do it?

Aye sky have made it difficult to do what you describe, so that you see the sky Q mini box as the most cost effective way to watch sky tv in different rooms, which in turn brings in more revenue to sky.

If there's only HDMI on the back then the way you describe seems the best option, until the Chinese release a mini clone capable of connecting to the main box.

The Sky Q box was designed to stop all the old fashioned RF2 distribution methods and make customers take a second box to view in a different room, Now its easy the mini Q receivers connect wirelessly to the main unit meaning no ore cable runs around the home it also benefits in giving you a wireless booster for all other devices as long as you use Sky broadband.

You have various options at the moment i would guess your other 6 points are already installed with Coax so the cheapest route here would be an HDMI RF DVB-T/T2 modulator the cheapest are around ?130 but these will not give you Magic Eye functionality due to how the main Q box works.

Your other option is rather expensive a full HDMI over CAT6 distribution Hub/Kit around ?700 which would also mean if you go for this you have to re-cable all outlets in CAT6 cable.

There are other options but too many to list, personally if your sticking to an official receiver use the HDMI Modulator which will give you HD on all TV's (The TV's in question must support DVB-T2/MPEG4 standard) but the loss of the magic eye functionality

I like the sound of the HDMI RF DVB-T/T2 modulator, does that mean it will distribute in HD instead of RF? (My RF picture is still very very good but HD would be better)
With the HDMI RF DVB-T/T2 modulator, can I distribute more than 1 signal at a time or is it a similar set up to the RF Modulator, I have buy more and daisy chain them all in together?
Also will i still be able to send remote signals through the system via inferred but then the inferred sensors on the other end to put in front of the box?

The magic eye function you get with RF2 is not an issue with my set up, I have all my receivers and Blu Ray player located in the cupboard under the stairs which means I can use Inferred sensors which I can place in front of the boxes to control the boxes.
In my Living room I have just the TV on the wall and a small sensor under the TV to control Sky, Sat & Blu Ray
I have magic eyes on all other TV's and extra Remote controls to be able to control from every room.

Yes I have Coax already routed into all rooms and also Cat 5 too
I did try HDMI over Cat5 but I was unsucessfull as the run I wanted to use was probably too far

matrix with ir control is the way its going .. expensive like . them hd extender s are ok aswell . if i hade sky q i would def be hardwired also with rj45 cables from router

Yea them Cat5 Cables I have hard wired are a god send, I'm so glad my electrician talked me into it when i was having the House re-wired
