edison mini stuck on boot.

not the usual fix as i thought box has been seen flashing usb image on tv screen and on front of box but box switches off and left with boot on front,tried openatv and see logo changes and when flashing openvix i see that logo.might this be hardware box issue or might the new serial cable that comes with box have any effect?

No need to use the serial cable, just flash an image from USB. Make sure everything is extracted from the zip properly and then on boot, press the front power button when prompted.
