HI,I NEED ADVICE AS I AM NEW TO THIS SITE AND WOULD BE VERY GRATEFULL FOR ANY HELP FROM ANY BODY[IF POSSIBLE IN EASY JARGON I CAN UNDERSTAND] I AM GOING TO CHANGE MY SAT SYSTEM AS I THINK SKY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE.I UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN INSTALL A MOTORISED DISH AND SAT BOX THAT WOULD SAVE ME MONEY, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT CHANGING TO A NEW SET UP AND WHAT WOULD I NEED TO BUY TO GET SET UP.MANY THANKS .

I would say a 1m dish, motor, and I would also say a Protek.
People will say to get a Dreambox, but you need some knowledge of linux from what I can gather. Protek is as near to plugand play as you can get and with a good few packages to see, footy, adult etc.
Avoid any cams, not much to see these days. -
Even if you do plenty of research - like i did - you always end up spending more than you wanted because there are so many options. Just make sure that if you are used to HD pictures on s$y get a HD receiver - linux based or not. I'm after spending more money than I wanted because i didn't do this and miss HD footy!Comment
