    bit of info on zgemma

so iv been reccomended a zgemma box, update from my crappy clone solo, http://www.zgemma.co.uk/twin-sat-tuner?product_id=63

now whats the general feeling on this? iv seen some vix availible for them but last build was october i think and if the plugins wont work on them its pointless for me haha, also can kodi be put on these things?

also can i do the streaming to pc via openwebif and stuff?

    cheers pete

I wouldn't use vix as its not a supported firmware for the zgemma, but there's lots of other firmware around, openatv been the main one which has been used by the majority of backup images which have the necessary plugins/skins already installed.

Yes you can stream from your zgemma to a PC, I use google chrome to open openwebif then VLC player to stream the feed.

Spend slightly more and either get a TM-Nano-SE or similar, Vu Zero, Edision OS Mini. These have a far superior build and power supply and seeing as your driving a motor i have seen quite a few of the Zgemma H series fail due to power issues

          Hi Buddy,

Any of the receivers i listed will work with the Latest Vix versions the only + Point for the Vu Zero is that you can install Blackhole image the other cannot, as far as hardware and speed are concerned they are all identical as they use the same chipset/CPU combination

the OS mini is around ?79 and the Zero is ?99

          Regards

My H1( which my mother now uses) still working 100% with original power supply it came with when bought new from china, my H.2H (Brother has that) is just over a year old and it is working 100% with original power supply it came with, and my own H5 is only 1 month old but it's working 100%.

Zgemma = Great Receivers but no Official Openvix support for those who need it.
