I have 2 strange faults with my box

1 keeps loosing epg and pause. Could this be that I only have 16 gb USB stick ? If I initialise the USB it seems to work.

2 if I leave a terristial channel on for a few hours then change channel to a premium channel the box will freeze for about a minute however if I go onto softcam settings and restart it immediately comes on.

its running vix what is this?

could the box need new firmware were can I learn how to do this?

So your box is on timeshift and thus you will need a larger drive.

Will a larger drive fix both faults?
Would one of these USB 1 terabyte drives work could the box power it?

change your os to openatv your using the unsupported image file regards jovie

just download latest image from openatv for your box open it make sure its for your box and load it on a usb stick regards jovie
all the information to run your box is on this forum just search for it you will find everything you need jovie

Thanks il take a look at this will this be everything including epg. ? No doubt this will wipe everything including lines?

Yep. Includes EPG & bouquets.

It will overwrite everything that was on the box previously, but entering the "part that we cannot discuss" is incredibly easy. No need to ftp, just put it on a memory stick. Press a couple of buttons on the remote & you're done!

Yep. I'm not sure where it would be in a Vix image though. It might be best to google it, as we cannot discuss this topic. You will need to transfer it using ftp.

In the world of E2 I would suggest that you do a full back up of everything from box to usb before you start flashing new stuff. You can then save that to desktop in case it you have to re use it.
