Sky and open box

Asking for a friend is it ok to run sky hd and openbox from the same dish assuming there's enough ports on the lnb? Is there any issues I need to think of?

In theory it should be OK, but in practice many people have issues when using an Openbox/Skybox on the same LNB as a genuine Sky+ box.

You may find that all the channels on vertically polarised transponders on the Openbox say "no signal". If the channels work again when the Sky+ box is disconnected from the LNB, then an adapter is needed to go between the Openbox & the LNB feed.

They can be found on Ebay for just a few pounds. Search for "no signal fix".
