    motorized dish

    Hi all

First time in the sat section so be gentle, i want to get into the sat scene I am all ready on cable and looking to buy open media box with cable and sat in one.

I have a new dish with a quad LNBF make MTI or MTJ, and brackets for a static fix, the size of the dish at its widest point is 21 inch approx.

The question I am asking can I make this dish motorized by getting a new bracket and motor or do I sell the dish and start a fresh which would be the cheaper option.

    Many Thanks

to be honest i would start again with a new dish as 21" is to small you need a min of 80cm to get all the good sats in all weather

          Be aware...

.... that the choice for a motorized dish will always limit you to the one sat it's aimed at for all receivers you attach to its lnb.

A fixed dish with the appropriate addons/lnbs/switches etc will allow you to watch channels from different sats simultaneously on all receivers in your household.

Most flexible would be both :-).
