Sky plus box and open box using a splitter

Hi there. I am wondering can a sky plus box be used at the same time as an enigma 2 box using a splitter from the satellite cable feed? I know this can be done from the cable TV feed and want to make sure it can be done on this side?

Nope.

Unlike cable, satellite boxes send signals to the LNB to control 4 functions (high band/low band/ horizontal/vertical). If you connect 2 boxes to the same port on an LNB then these signals will conflict, causing one of the boxes to show no signal.
