Amstrad DRX300

[ITS A SCAM !]

Can anyone tell me if i can use a old amstrad DRX300 to activate a sky card before i fit it ino my dreambox ?? I have been told that a new card has to be activated in a proper box before i can use it elsewhere...

if its a brand new virgin unpaired card and the box is on latest software the new white card will pair to any box and then activate to give u your entitlements for what you pay for but then this box becomes your main box for that card and to get the box key for from the serial number in the menu

you will have to ring sly to pair card to whatever box your using to activate it
not sure about that one tho...could just use a m8's one

Thats good, so i can use anyones box to activate card ?? How often would i need access to my freinds box ? Do i need to do this just the once ? Once its been activated i can use it in a dreambox and forget about it ??

NewCs/CCcam wont update it...If you can get cccam to read your card direct it will update it
needs updating every 6-8 weeks
or just buy a cheap second hand sly box

No! This is What you need to do. You need to get a sky box And using a few secret menus you will need to pair your card to that box. Once done you will need to extract the boxkey And then put into your cccam config [if on 2.1.3]. Thereafter your card will become fully active to all the channels you pay for. Then insert into dreambox or preferably omnikey card reader into your server And your away. If you goto your entitlements you will see when you will need to put card back into sky box overnight.

Iv heard this is sometimes faulty hence why i posted the slightly longer method above but if it works then thats good.

So its a little bit more involved than just putting the card into my Dreambox.......I will catch you on MSN when i finally get around to getting a Sly card....I thank you
