    Reception Issues

    Heya,

Since i had sky installed around 8 months ago, the slightest bit of bad weather seems to cause lack of reception. I've had a sky guy come out once already to sort it and it made it slightly better, but with the recent weather it's still not great, and I know its not because of the weather bacuse friends reception is fine. When you access the engineers menu are there optimal settings that can be set, or would they already be set? Any advice of help would be greaful.

Your reception should be fine m8 regardless of weather..get them out again to sort it,and ask for the sky lads technician number before he starts..this way you can report him,and he wont leave until its sorted....unless he cancels it for special heights if he,s got to go above 8 rungs on his ladders.....official sky boys are total cowboys...

The dish is not that high at the moment, he moved it lower last time. He said about how a tree that it points at might be causing some problems, but its a single tree, dont see how that can do anything.

It will cause probs m8 even if there is no leaves on the tree...it needs to go higher m8,or moving further back-eg on a pole mount getting the signal over the eaves of the roof...dont put up with the bull of i,m not allowed on the roof..they are fully h/s trained and are just f44king lazy cants...
