sky plus hd box uses a card from sky to unlock those channels,if you are adding another box in conseratory and no card=freesat, second box will need sat cables to view only.

yes you will get freesat if you connect a cable from the lnb on the sly dish

you wont get free to view channels, and you wont get any paid for channels either

it will receive internt if connected but I doubt it will be of any use to you because its main function is for catch up tv which you wont be paying for on this box, especially if it does not have a card inside it

the lack of a card will mean it is not postcoded so the channels willl default to LONDON regional channels , which is ok if you are in London but not if you were in another part of the UK

this may be ok for you but be aware of it ( a local card from an expired box will postcode your second box to your region)

so YES for free to air channels - ie:- freesat

no for free to view channels (just a few like sony tv etc)

        no for scrambled channels

I fail to see what use the internet would be

and no it wont piggyback from your main paid for box
