Hi wonderful more knowledgeable ppl than me.

My question is, my family out in spain have been watching sky tv over their but their subscription is running out, and would rather not pay for it, so my question is as they already have a satellite set up their with their sky box, could a dreambox or technomate be used along with the "special downloads" here to keep on viewing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi mate.. there are loads of threads about trying to view sky on a dreambox.. all say the same..

NDS encryption is top notch and not the best for sharing, it can be done but its very jumpy.. you cant do it via special downloads.. you need to make your ISP IP static, have a good overview of home networking as the dreambox runs off a home network.. if the IT skills of the user aren't top notch then its very hard.. plus after all that you need to find someone willing to give you a share of their sky card..
