cant get arabsat /badr34 26 east

hi guys .can anyone tell me why my dish wont move to pick up any channels from arabsat at 26east .but it will go to 28.2 east and work perfect .everything else is ok ......i have a 1metre dish and a tm6900...

i dont know if your motor uses the usuals settings
i have my motor on disqc 1.2 and this is the way to find
and scan the sat, first you set the satellite in the receiver menu?
then if you go to astra 28e then press menu and
go to motorised set up>ok and click the right vol button
to change the sat from astra/eurobird to badr 4/6 then
move down a line to tp and with the vol button move the
frequencies untill you find 11.919 h this is the mbc chn freq
the move the dish slowly west untill you find the signal then
save and scan the sat

26E is one of the weakest satellites to pick up in the UK.
You need a well aligned 1m dish to even get a sniff .

i use ,12.182.h.16200.3/4 to find badr4 and then fine tune on 11.919.h.27500.3/4 as [email protected] uses 11.914.h.27500.3/4 which seems to swamp the tuner as its a very strong bird!

yes i have found it now .but it seems to go all weird and does not pick it up properly .i will try again see what happens

the KTV channels on 26East tp 12.523 H 27500 are strong enough to get on an 80 cm dish, if you have enabled the sat in satellite setup then pressed "go to" in motorised settings while on usals you should get it ok.

12073 H 27500 is my strongest transponder.

You should find Euronews on there.

Kuwait and Saudi tend to quite weak, you'll lose these during rain fade.

got it at last .it seemed to be conflicting with astra .all sorted now ....84 % signal on my tm 6900 super ..........thanks everyone

yes I found that some of the astra channels were picked up in particular the sikh channel and brit asia came through at 63% these are very strong when pointed at astra itself 87%+.

well its lost it again .when i send the dish to that satellite it goes past it ( picture comes up ) then stops .if i move the dish back .the signal is there but no picture .and in settings it has changed to diseqc 1.2 and knocked usuals off .............strange

yeah Its gone for me now conditions have to be just right with a smaller dish than recommended and the further north you are the worse it gets.
if you move your dish via motor view control while on usals then save it will go to 1.2 instead.to fine tune usals go into the motorised settings menu and adjust your longitude in 0.2 steps either east or west to get the best reading on an active TP.you can do this on a stronger sat if you want then go back to 26E.

USALS is fixed, to use your edited satellite positions you have to use DiseQc.
