Sky plus lnb gone

Hi the second input on the sky plus lnb is not working?

Is it difficult to replace an lnb on the box or could a software upgrade solve the problem

should be 4 outputs on the lnb. Just undo and change connection.Usually 4 port quad lnb is fitted.

On the back of the sky box i see two dish inputs when i put the cable into one of the inputs i get a picture then i put the same cable into the other input getting no signal?

you need both in, one for when you pause/rec tv.

Checked on signal test getting

INput 1 signal strength ok
Input 1 signal quality ok

When i put the same cable into the input 2 i get

Input two signal ok
INput two quality ok
Input 2 lock indicator ok

But im getting no picture when i have the cable just plugged into the input 2?
Should i be getting a picture when its in input 2?

Im just selling my sky plus box, i moved so i just wanna make sure its working before i sell it. Im testing it off a dish with a single lnb and just swapping the cable from one input to the other on input 1 i get a picture on input 2 i get no signal is being received yet when i go into signal test the strength and quality seem fine? But im getting a no satellite signal been received?

Does the other cable from input 2 work when put in input 1?

Yeah its the same cable and it works fine in input 1, getting picture

If the sub is not being paid for sky+ then that account will not be activated.

Yeah there is no sub on the box or even a card in the box, so is that why there is no satellite being received?

Why when i go to the signal test i see that quality and strength are ok?

Because the signal is there but the output isnt.

So its safe to sell it on, hate to be passing on something that is broken?

if it worked before then no probs.

Yeah it has i was just worried with no picture, but if its saying that the signal strength and quality are ok, just couldnt figure it out. Give me a dreambox any day.
