general sattelite query

hi people - im thinking of venturing into the sattelite scene...thinking of getting a dm800hd box...hook it up to my fixed standard sky mini dish, get a sub ..so here in the midlands i will only pick up astra sat 28.2 ?...no other unless i move the dish ? or have a motorised one ?
will i get all the sky channels, sports, movies, documentary, news etc.....plus most importantly all the HD CHANNELS, as this is the reason i am going into sattelite territory ?..cheers
