this is very interesting indeed. Can it cover from 1W to 28.2E?

Mine does quite easily. the T55 will cover a 40 degree arc across the Clark Belt. I set mine up so that the central LNB was pointing at 13 degrees east. I get 1w, 5e, 13e, 19e 28e, so I suppose I could try up to as far as 7 degrees west if I wanted. Just that I'm not aware that there is much out there worth looking at.
I do need to get some of the slimmer LNB's to slot in and look at the likes of 10e, 16e and maybe 23e, but I want warmer weather first.

oh. i'll carry on to see youI have one of the 55cm versions of the FW dishes, managed to put it up 2 days back, so the jury is still out on it. I have 28e, 19e, 13e, 5e, 1w on it atm., I can fit more lnb's in, but will need the Inverto slim LNB's to fit between the gaps. I may be able to get 10e on a normal LNB, but after spending 7 or 8 hours putting up what I have I couldn't be bothered to try on the day (and it was dark by the time I finished).
The main reason I put it up was that I didn't want the hassle of a motor, and it allowed me to have a quad output LNB on 28e with 2 outputs going to my s*y box - which means that when I'm surfing the rest of the family still have s*y.
Next step is to see whether a DM800HD will give me anything 'extra' without CS (can't do it at all, so won't try). depending on that then probably, during the summer, replace my 55 with the 90 (I can't get the Nordic beam on my 55) to get even more. I already have a 16 input Diseqc switch in place, which is only using 5 inputs atm.
I'll let you know how I get on.

this only has an input for 2 sats? i want 13e 19e and 28e. what do you suggestI used the mounting that came with it. The dish is quite heavy and the last thing you want is it hitting the ground. To help you set it up use this link:

very useful site.

Hello.
Yes what you have to do is set a 'central' satellite in the centre of the LNB rail. That way the rest of the LNB's should line up with the Crake belt very easily. In order to do that you need to decide what your central satellite will be. Once the central one is set it's then a matter of adding the rest of the LNB's to the rail on the east and west where you want them.
With the calulator I set my east most satellite as being something around 33/34 degrees east. Set might west most satellite around 4/5 degrees west. That meant that the calculation would give me the elevation/skew and the like with the central most LNB being set to 13 degrees east.
Once set I put my dish up, found the satellite at 13e with my single LNB. Once that was done I just added the other LNB's to the rail either side of my central one. That way they should all line up very easily.

Gaston, I was interested to read and see your set up as I`m into multi feed land and currently have four dishes(im in Ireland-no restrictions on dishes) serving (the missus) on 28e 42e 16e 9e 1w & 5w with 2 connections left on 2nd 4-way switch for more sats. Expect your system would cost me a bomb, but will look into it. Thanks a million - Happy New Year.Comment

dctyper,
You have 28 degress as your centre? That would mean your'e able to get everything from 8 degrees east through 48 degrees east? I'm not really sure what's out there in the east. That's why I went for 13 degress east as the centre.
I had problems with Disecq on my Topfield. I've only got 5 of the LNB's that I intend to up there, connected as 1 through 5 on my 16 port switch. However I had thought that my Topfield would assign them positions 1 through 5, how wrong I was. I ended up with having to plug my laptop in and taking a look satellite by satellite, as it is Thor appears to be in position 26. Busy trying to find Intelsat and I think Thor 5 at 1 west, since I appear to be missing channels form both satellites.
I will probably be upgrading to the 90cm when spring arrives as well - has a much larger arc
and more room for LNB's

The T55 cost me ?100 including a few bits and delivery. The LNB's that you see all cost me around ?8 each off Ebay with free delivery, except the quad output LNB that cost me around ?18 off Ebay. The 16 way Diseqc cost me around ?40 + delivery. I can dig out all the details if you want?Gaston, I was interested to read and see your set up as I`m into multi feed land and currently have four dishes(im in Ireland-no restrictions on dishes) serving (the missus) on 28e 42e 16e 9e 1w & 5w with 2 connections left on 2nd 4-way switch for more sats. The reason for the quad output LNB is to allow a connection for the Sly+ (28e) in the lounge, another connection for my son's Sly box, and the remaining one to my receiver.
All in all it's pretty good, gets me all of 1west, oddly enough even the Nordic beams by the looks of it (they tune in but I have no decoder). I do need to do some tweaking, since it's snowing quite badly here and I am losing a few of the weaker Di*iTv channels. I'm guessing that once the snow goes it will be better, but I'll probably be getting the ladders out to tweak the LNB, probably a twist eaither clockwise or anti-clockwise usually does the trick.
As I said when I took the photo, I had been at it for around 6 hours, by the time I was finished it was dark, so I just wanted to end the day with something. If after tweaking I find that it doesn't fix the issue then I'll be looking at a T90 in the spring.
We do have restrictions on dishes and my previous dish was measured by the council (stupid neighbours y'see). It was motorised and noisey, not only that once it moved everyone else lost S*y. Hence the route I took this time.
Cheers,

13 degress should be just to the east (right) as you're looking at it, and the rail should be lined up ok. Did you alter the skew etc to take into account your new centre? My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
