    anyone in east lancashire got a decent sat meter

    hello decided to go back to dreambox & get a share, problem is my dish isnt anywhere near aligned, i've lost my meter, anyone local lend a hand with a meter or chance to borrow one?

    my dish is in back garden at ground level so no steep roofs to acsend, help please

          didnt want to piss about with a cheapo, wanted a digital one to get it smack on, ive seen some on ebay but cant justify paying ?85 for one that looks good, but may not do the job, thanks

              ive lined many a sat up with a ?20 meter from maplins.. never had an ounce of trouble.. they are fine for the job..

                  That looks similar to the one I got from Wizards for free with my dish. I couldn't align anything with mine and ended up asking the wife to stand by the tv and shout to me if anything appeared on the screen.

                      Yea i got one of those too, from Wizards. Ended up getting the portable telly out and tunin it in that way

                              That squawker meter will be ok but it may be a bit of trial and error whilst you locate your true South satellite. The meter only measures a carrier so up and down the ladder I'm afraid.

                                  my dish is at ground level, so no ladders to worry about, but its easily knocked as its where we walk past when taking dog out, so i wanted a decent meter really, this is what i'm looking at 3.5" Color LCD Digital Satellite Finder Signal Meter on eBay (end time 25-Jan-10 05:10:54 GMT) as the local satellite installer charges ?50 a time, what does everyone think?
