    Is this possible? (With pics)

I want to install a dish , cant mount in front of my house, can only face it away from my house where I would receive signals.

Sat guys say theres no where to install the 80cm dish except I get a sky dish, which I dont want to.

He says he wouldnt be able to do it by the side of the propertysee image) because the others might complain..

    Advice pleaseeeee

You need to mount it on thee back of the house. From the pic it appears that the rear of the property looks ideal for being able to view the sats in the sky. South facing is wheere you want to be and it looks like yours is facing SSE (a but like mine).

Doesnt matter, the sat signal comes down at an angle where as long as its not a 15 story block of high rise flats you will be okay. If you mount your dish on a pole above the gutter line you will definately have no prblems at all.

as said above mate get the dish on the back of your house.. you cant throw it up on the side of somebody-else's house..

have a look out back.. there are probably dishes on the rear of all them houses..

dishes are angled to the sky they dont stick out straight

i think he means its a back to back, so houses at the back means the other side of his property (joined), looks like a one bed back to back house to me and not a through house.

            only option chimney stack......

I wouldn't be advising installing a motorised dish on a chimney stack. Incidentally, there's already a minidish on the front using a TK bracket.

m8..you could use a t/k bracket and long pole,,,but looking at the height of your neighbours just to get 28.2 east, youd need to go even higher to all sats....then it would look ridiculous, and the dish just acting like a sail, would probably carry the whole street into the nearest canal....

Planning problems spring to mind with regards to installing over 60cm on a chimney.

its not a case of where he wants it, its a case of thats where it has to go if he wants it doing, either that or a big stupid pole with the dish facing his roof.

planning indeed, chuck it up and then deal with any issues IF they arise,

again theres no choice if he wants a motorised sat based on those pics, i say that but if you look at the end house it has a pole with dish and it dont look too bad to me, surely the sat fitter saw the end house setup? granted its not with motor but its virtually the same setup and if theres no obstacles then why not.

edited just relised theres no mention of a motor dish, must be another thread, if its just for sky why not get a mini dish and jack the 80cm, you say you dont want to but what service will it do you that a normal mini dish wouldnt.

come on after reading this thread again and looking at pic more closely, im surprised you even posted at all, get a minidish and pole like the people at the end of the street or hook a mini up to the chimney.
